Rummy and company up to their old tricks...

It looks like the chicken hawks are at it again. Looks like they want to go to war with Iran, you know, since our invasion of Iraq has gone so well.

At least they appear to be putting extra effort into attaining a smoking gun, instead of a fake vial of anthrax.

This just ticks me off though. Why do we need to go to war with Iran? I mean, all indicators point in the direction of a popular uprising. One, we can sit back cautiously and just wait for it to happen. Two, we can send in some CIA operatives to stir up trouble, if we’re not already there. Three, promote sanctions to keep them so strapped for cash they can’t afford to invest in nukes.

This is troubling to say the least. Our military is stretched thin as it is. We do not need another war, unless they plan a draft. Quite frankly, I just don’t know how they plan to fund this war or where they are going to get the man power for it. If anything, those two factors provide me some comfort as they are not easy to over come. I also do not believe that the American people will stand for another war while Iraq is as messy as it is, and it’s going to be messy for a long time to come.

Tastes like chicken...
