Terri's passing

I'm happy and sad at the same time. For one, I'm happy that Terri has now passed from this world and no longer has to suffer. I'm happy that her husband now feels that his last duties to her are fulfilled, and he can move on knowing he did everything she wanted. I'm sad for her parents and family and friends who are now faced with the reality that their daughter is finally gone from this world. There was no winner in this conflict, though I'm glad it is over and that the law was upheld.

However, what bothers me about this was that anyone really paid attention at all. While thousands of children go hungry on the streets of America everyday, the only person starting that anyone seemed to pay any attention to was a brain dead woman in a hospice center.

Bush said to honor Terri's memory by building a culture of life. You know how you start that? Number one, by removing the death penalty. Number two, concentrating on helping the people who are already alive live betters lives. Number three, provide adequate abilites for birth control so that those who don't want children are never faced with the posbility of having to abort one. That's a culture of life.

Tom "The Hammer" Delay condemed the judges. Fuck Tom Delay. This isn't their fault. They upheld the law which is their job. Tom, you've been awful lucky that Terri and now the Pope are passing away, thus sucking up all the TV time that would otherwise be concentrated on you right now. Delay said "This loss happened because our legal system did not protect the people who need protection most, and that will change. The time will come for the men responsible for this to answer for their behavior, but not today. Today we grieve, we pray, and we hope to God this fate never befalls another." Whatever Tom. You really want to make a difference? You really want to precent another person from dying from hunger? Go to downtown D.C. and work at a homeless shelter. Go to inner city Houston and give food out. Stop cutting funds to programs that help the needy. You talk about saving people and preventing this from happening again, yet you don't actually do anything to help? Tell you what, the next time you want to go on a golf outting, go help a charity instead.

Delay went on to say that The House, "will look at an arrogant and out of control judiciary that thumbs its nose at Congress and the President." However, he said that they will not look into an out of control congress and President that thumbs it's nose at the judiciary and the American people. Seriously, how the hell can you blame the judges? And don't give me this shit about liberal judges. I've looked at who was sitting on these benches and it is very well balanced between the left and right. What Delay really means is that he wants judges out of the way of congress. He doesn't want a check and balance. He just wants a check. This guy needs to go down.

I'm done for the day. It's been a rough week for me. My boss quit today because he found out some shady shit at my company. My car has been messed up because someone who serviced the radiator didn't know what they were doing. My work is freaking crazy right now. It's been a tough week.
