How long must this go on!

Bushism for 3/28/2005

"There's no question that the minute I got elected, the storm clouds on the horizon were getting nearly directly overhead."
-Wasthington, D.C.; May 11, 2001

I bet they were W, I bet they were. And you've done your best to make sure those same storm clouds rain all the sulfuric acidic rain they can on everyone around. Clear skies my ass. The only think you're clearing the skies of are birds.

I feel sorry for the Schiavo family in Florida. I can't place myself in their shoes, so I can't say for certain that I wouldn’t be a crazy to save my daughter, if I had one, that was in a similar predicament. However, I can say that I'm fed up with all these crazy people they have around them.

Jesus, who the hell is that brother guy who speaks for them? That guy is a nut. And then there is the medical expert that says Terri can be saved and rehabilitated? Remember kids, this is the same doctor who, as Media Matters for America pointed out, this guy was disciplined in 2003 by the Florida Board of Medicine, because he lied about saying he was a Nobel prize nominee. Of course, that doesn't stop Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum from still referring to him that way.

At any rate, I digress. That really bugs me is that people just say the President or Jeb can just do something because they're the President and the Governor. They can't. There are things called laws. Even the President and the Governor have to abide by the laws. However, evidently Tom Delay doesn't. You can't blame anyone but W and the Republicans for what is happening. And by that I mean all the crazy people saying they can do something. Who can really blame them? W and the Reds have basically just done whatever they wanted up until this point. What's to stop them here? And that's the problem.

You see, when you make it look like you can do anything people begin to think you can do anything. W and company worked very hard over the last several years to make it appear W can do whatever he wants to because, well because he's King George and God is on his side. It's come to bite them in the ass now because all the crazies have come out of the woodwork for this ordeal. So now the current face of the right on television is all the crazy religious zealots we Blues have knows are their biggest supporters of all. Except one thing, they never let them on TV before now. Nope, they always had the soccer mom plant who worked three jobs. OR the black guy who said the Blues rejected him and hasn't done anything for them. That's perfectly okay because we all know that isn't the core of who votes Red. The core is what you see on TV right now, the people who camp out in from of a hospice and pray on the ground, and act like their doing this big deed by getting arrested.

You know what, fuck you. There are fifty other people in there that are dying and they can't go in peace because you people don't have fucking jobs. I mean seriously, who the hell do you think you are? Why aren't you working? I bet if you did you'd be in the 60 some odd percent who don't give a dam about this thing because they have shit to worry about like getting up the next day and going to work at the plant making cars and stuff.

I know it's hard for the Reds to think. Time and time again they've shown they let other people think for them. I think I know why. I found a quote from Hellen Keller, who evidently was a big socialist and feminist (see, school history books don't say anything about her other than she was blind and deaf, because her other actions may bring controversy to the classroom and independent thought, and we know how dangerous that can be). Her quote goes as follows, and I think it makes perfect sense here:

"People do not want to think. If one thinks, one must reach conclusions. Conclusions are not always pleasant."
-Helen Keller

Enjoy,
-O
